Family is the most important thing to many of us, and one thing we always make sure of is how our family is taken care of. One group within a family that’s usually pampered more than any other is the youth. There comes a point in each and every child’s life where they outgrow their cribs and need a real place to stay. Now for some folks, this experience isn’t new, as they have other children who have paved the way, but consider this: if you have two of your children sharing a room, why not get them a bunk bed? They save space, they’re comfortable, and they’re safe.

Bunk beds come in a wide variety of styles. One of which is the L-shaped bunk bed. It fits perfectly in a corner of the room, and as one bed aligns with one wall, the other is against the other wall. These are great fun for the kids, as the unique design will surely spark their imagination. But, for a practical use, some L-shaped bunk beds come with a small dresser built in under the overhang of the raised bed, which gives your kids a place to store games, clothes, or whatever they want.

Ladder bunk beds are another excellent option, as the two single beds are stacked, usually with a ladder build onto the bed at the ends, or with a removable ladder that allows for quick and easy access to the top bunk. These beds are sturdy, spacious, and allow for even more confined space, as the beds only take up the floor space of what one single bed would have taken up.

One type of bunk that’s great for daytime use is a futon bunk. The bunk is situated as a normal single bed on top, and a futon on the bottom. The futon on the bottom is larger than the single above it, but converts into a couch, which is perfect for everyday use.

All of these bunk beds come in different colors and are made from a selection of materials from wood to metal and more. Each of these different bunk beds has its own specific purposes and are optimal for different families, depending on the needs of the family in question. Though, after you’ve made sure you’ve the room for whichever one you choose to buy, all you need to really worry about is which one of your kids gets to sleep on the top bunk.
